Decorating Handbell Tables For Christmas Candlelight Service

Light Up Clermont is coming to downtown Clermont this week.

'Twas the day before Christmas and all through Lake county,

people were spending time with their friends and their family,

looking at lights, singing carols and sledding,

Enjoying the events and holiday blessings.

Light Up Clermont Holiday Enchanted Forest

The Holiday Enchanted Forest at Victory Pointe in Clermont, will run through the holiday season until 10 p.m. nightly.

More than 40 trees decorated by schools, organizations, businesses and families will be showcased as guests stroll through the Enchanted Forest to holiday music. Kids are also invited to drop off their letters for Santa in Santa's Mailbox and families can enjoy holiday photo opportunities.

The event is free.

Christmas Drive-Thru

The 45th annual Christmas Drive-Thru will take place tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Lake Point Mobile Park, 561 E Burleigh Blvd., in Tavares.

The event will feature Santa walking around as cars drive through to see the holiday light displays. Santa's elf will also be passing out candy canes and dog treats for the furry friends.

The event is free.

Candlelight Christmas Even Service

Many churches and organizations are hosting candlelight Christmas Eve services, including the First Presbyterian Church, 222 W. 6th Ave. in Mount Dora, this evening at 7 p.m.

The service will feature the Jubilate Handbell Choir serenading guests as they arrive.

Christmas Eve Snow

"It's a sleigh ride together with you" at the Real Life Christian Church, 31205 Round Lake Road in Mount Dora, today from 2 to 7 p.m.

Have fun in the snow, slide down the snow slide and participate in a special Christmas service at 3 p.m. or 5 p.m.

Candlelight in Ferran Park

The Lake Eustis Christian Church will be hosting a candlelight Christmas Eve service tonight at 6 p.m. at the bandshell in Ferran Park in Eustis.

The outdoor event will have socially distanced chairs.

Moonlight Paddle on Lake Norris

Need something to do after Christmas? Check out the guided paddle tour on Lake Norris hosted by Adventures in Florida.

The event begins at 6 p.m. Saturday night at Lake Norris. As the sun sets, the starlit sky will lights the way as the group paddles through the lake.

After, enjoy s'mores and hot chocolate by the fire.

Cost is $60 and includes kayak and shuttle or $50 if you bring your own kayak.

Cars and Coffee

On Sunday, join fellow car and coffee lovers at Jonesy's Cafe, 508 S. Duncan Dr. In Tavares, for a car show and their signature coffee.

Plus check out their giant gaming table, free retro arcade and baked goodies.

Howey Mansion Music Series

Enjoy the sounds of the Howey Mansion Music Series which returns this Sunday at 4 p.m. in the front lawn, 1001 N Citrus Ave. in Howey-in-the-Hills.

The event will feature Jazz Diva, Michelle Amato, who will perform both classic jazz hits and holiday tunes.

Bring your own lawn chair or picnic. Cash bar is available. There will also be a best holiday decorated lawn chair contest.

Cost is $23 per person, kids 12 and under are free.
